TRIBUTES

We want to thank you all for the love and the deep bond of community you shared with our daughter. This was her community, her life for the past 2 years. She found so many inspiring and caring friends and teachers, and new ideas here. She was nurtured so lovingly, and it was here that she blossomed into a beautiful young woman.

We want to thank this community for the love, kindness and support that you’ve shared with our family and our community during this time of great sorrow. We want to support you in your struggle to heal from this profound loss in your lives, and celebrate in the experience of the joys you shared with her here.

Emily Rachel Silverstein was an amazing, extraordinary human being. Her compassion, passion and creativity touched so many lives. She gave so much to her family, her friends and the world. She wanted to help create a more peaceful, just and sustainable world, and she did. The legacy of her life will continue to inspire and empower those she had touched, and people she had never met to have hope that a better world is possible, and to know that every act of compassion makes a difference.

Thank you so much for being such an important part of our daughter, Emily Rachel Silverstein’s life.
